Product detailed description
TOKAIDO KATA MASTER model TOKYO is the most modern racing special for kata practice from Japanese brand Tokaido, which was developed by Kazumasa Moto. In our opinion, it is currently the best kata kimono on the market and takes the kata experience to a whole new level. It weighs just 1400 grams for a size 175.
The kimono is made of a specially developed material that offers incredible comfort. The kimono itself is incredibly lightweight, but at the same time very strong with a great snap effect achieved by using the newly developed Ultimate Sound technology. The cut is modern, narrower and at the same time with special details, according to the latest requirements, longer back of the coat, shortened sleeves, wide legs, heavier stitching on the sleeves, legs and coat etc - see description below.
For the trousers, the Tokaido brand was the first to use a different material for the crotch gusset, namely elasticated polyester. This ensures that if you have a rear leg extended, the leg does not stay creased on the leg, blends in better with the leg and reflects your actual stance. Of course, further increasing comfort when exercising, any restriction in range of motion is completely removed.
The trousers are equipped with a higher waistband, the binding itself is in the so-called Japanese style (you grasp the drawstrings at the hips when tying them, pull them away from your body to the sides, the front of the trousers is pulled smooth on your stomach and the back is pulled up to create reinforcement in the lumbar area, then the drawstrings are threaded through the front loops and imported). This method of tying the trousers prevents any choking when practicing any techniques.
The kimono is of course approved for all competitions, i.e. WKF approved. Made in Japan, from Japanese material 70% cotton, 30% polyester (Made in Japan).
K1 PREMIER LEAGUE VERSION. The embroidery in blue or red on the shoulders can be either in print or in Japanese characters - see illustration photo in the gallery (it is a kumite kimono, but the description in Japanese characters is the same).
70% cotton, 30% polyester
Featuring 6 special features:
The width of the stitches on the cuffs, leg hems, sleeves and the coat itself have been changed to emphasise the techniques. The usual width of 4 cm has been increased to 5 cm.
The area around the buttocks and waist has been modified to offer more freedom.
The back of the coat is longer to accentuate the techniques.
The sleeve insertion and armhole were redesigned to maintain the maximum range of arm movement, but also to make the kimono look good around the shoulders so that there is not too much material.
The material used is thinner and lighter than the SSA "Otoha" fabric, but the sound of the kimono when performing techniques (sound effect) is even stronger.
