Karate leg pads from the Australian brand SMAI, are among the absolute best in the world of karate, they are used for example by the Olympic champion in the highest weight category, Sajad Ganjzadeh. These shin and ankle guards for karate have been manufactured to the exact specifications of the World Karate Federation. They have been approved for use in official continental tournaments and international events sanctioned by the WKF, so you can use them without any restrictions. The protectors are characterized by high quality workmanship combined with maximum competitor protection and great user comfort. The manufacturer used a very interesting, pleasant shade of the protectors, especially for the red color, which is different from the colors of other manufacturers. This also applies to the manufacturer's logo itself, placed unobtrusively on the tightening strap over the shin.
The shin guard is finished at the top with an angled end that better follows the shape of the knee and does not restrict movement. The lower ankle protector, the so called boot, is very nicely shaped from the front edge with a lower height in the direction of the toe and then more protection across the ankle to the shin, but without a large "bulge" on the ankle. The attachment to the foot is made up of elastics finished with Velcro, with the possibility of adjusting the tightening-length, thanks to the longer part of the Velcro.
